FRESNO COUNTY, CA – A 20-year-old woman was killed on Saturday after being struck by a DUI suspect on Saturday night, ABC 30 reports.
The accident occurred around 9:15 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 180 and Shasta. The victim was riding eastbound in an Acura when she was struck by a westbound Honda that veered suddenly into her lane.
Four others in the Acura were also injured in the crash.
The 27-year-old man driving the Honda sustained serious injuries and is believed to have been under the influence of drugs. When he is releashed from the hospital he will face charges of drug impairment and vehicular manslaughter.
