Narrative 

GROVELAND, CA – A 73-year-old woman died, and two men went to the hospital after a wrong-way crash in southwest Tuolumne County.

The incident happened just before 1 p.m. on Highway 120 west of Smith Station Road, which is on the eastern outskirts of Groveland.

Police say that a westbound sedan veered onto the eastbound side of the highway and collided head on with an eastbound vehicle.

A passenger in the wrong-way vehicle died. Authorities have not yet released her name to the public.

Medics transported the 73-year-old wrong-way driver and the other driver to the hospital with serious injuries.
