SUV hits, kills 16-year-old skateboarder in Riverside

RIVERSIDE, CA – A 16-year-old boy was killed in Riverside on Friday night after being struck by an SUV, local news reports. 

The victim was riding north on Brockton Avenue when he was struck by a westbound SUV in the Arlington Avenue  intersection around 7:30 p.m. The driver was a 60-year-old Riverside County resident pulling a trailer in a 2003 GMC Yukon.

The victim was rushed to the hospital, where he later passed away. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
