Shasta County accident leaves motorcyclist dead

SHASTA COUNTY, CA – An accident in Shasta County left a motorcyclist dead on Sunday afternoon, Action News Now reports. 

The crash occurred along Highway 36 near Platina around 4 p.m.

The victim, a 51-year-old man from Fremont, lost control of his motorcycle as he attempted to navigate a curve. He then crashed into a tree and died at the scene.

No information is available on the cause of the crash.
