Narrative
A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle on Calliandra St. and Alamo Dr. on March 4th. The victim died at the scene and has not been publicly identified. The driver who hit the person had been driving east on Calliandra St. It is not known how fast the driver was driving at the time, but authorities suspected that intoxication was a factor. Therefore, the driver was taken to a detention center after the accident for homicide. The Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station Traffic Team led the investigation into this accident. They did not reveal the identity of the at-fault driver.
