Narrative
At 5:10p.m., two people died when their car went off Highway 99 and caught on fire on Feb. 11th. One of those victims was identified as Agustin Ayala, 52. The female victim has still not been identified. The driver was on Highway 99 near Avenue 18 1/2 driving north when the car was steered to the right. The car caught on fire after hitting an embankment. It was left overturned while it burned. Some people who witnessed the crash tried to help, but the fire was too intense. Both victims died before they could be hospitalized. There is an ongoing investigation.
