One person died as the result of a rear-end crash on Highway 165 near Mervel Avenue in Los Banos around 4 p.m. on Monday, November 28th. The driver of Traffic Unit 2 stopped on the road due to a dog on the road. As a result, the driver of Traffic Unit 1 hit the back of Traffic Unit 2. The driver of Traffic Unit 2 was unharmed. The driver of Traffic Unit 1, a 79-year-old man, was thrown from his vehicle. He was hospitalized and later pronounced dead.
