DUI suspect strikes pedestrians: one dead, another injured

WALNUT CREEK, CA – A driver was arrested for DUI after hitting two pedestrians early Saturday morning, CBS San Francisco reports. 

The accident occurred around 1:50 a.m. near the intersection of North Main Street and Pine Street.

The victims were walking on the east side of North Main Street. A 28-year-old woman lost control of her pickup truck and struck both of them before also hitting a cemet pillar.

One pedestrian died at the scene and the other was hospitalized with serious injuries.
