FRESNO, CA – Two people were killed in an accident caused by a DUI driver in Fresno on Saturday morning, local news reports.
The accident occurred near Clinton Avenue on southbound Highway 99.
The two victims were a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman. They each died at the scene.
The other driver, a 21-year-old man, was driving under the influence at a high speed and made a sudden lane change. His vehicle then clipped the front of the victim’s car and caused it to leave the road, crash down an embankment and strike a tree.
The suspect was arrested and charged with DUI resulting in death and vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
