Narrative
One person died, and another was injured following a single-vehicle crash on Airport Boulevard in Thermal around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec.7th. California Highway Patrol said for reasons unknown, the driver of Traffic Unit 1 lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a power pole. The passenger from Traffic Unit 1 was taken to a hospital for unspecified injuries. The driver was identified as 27-year-old Saul Hernandez Bautista of Coachella. Hernandez Bautista succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
