BAKERSFIELD, CA – Two people were hospitalized with serious injuries after an accident in central Bakersfield, KGET reports.  The crash occurred on northbound Highway 99 near California Avenue around 8:20 p.m. It is not clear what caused the accident or how many vehicles were involved. BAKERSFIELD, CA – A motorcyclist was killed on Monday night after they were struck by a vehicle on Taft Highway, KGET reports.  The crash occurred around 9:20 p.m. at the intersection of Taft Highway and Heather Meadows Drive. The victim was riding east when a vehicle attempted an illegal U-turn directly in front of it. The motorcyclist sustained major injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where they later passed away. MCFARLAND, CA – At least one person was killed in an accident south of McFarland on Wednesday evening, Bakersfield Now reports.  The accident is believed to have been a single-vehicle crash and occurred near the intersection of Wallace Road and Famoso Road. It is not clear when the accident occurred. The vehicle was found rolled over in an orchard around 6:50 p.m. One victim, who has not been identified, was found dead. BAKERSFIELD, CA – A 5-year-old boy suffered serious injuries after falling out of a vehicle that later hit him, KGET reports.  The victim was riding in a sedan on Winter Crest Drive when he fell out around 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday night and was struck by the same vehicle. BAKERSFIELD, CA – A driver who was injured in a crash with a tanker truck has passed away, KGET reports.  The accident occurred on Friday morning as the victim travelled east on Kimberlina Road near Highway 43. Around 6 a.m. he lost control of his SUV and entered the westbound lanes. He then crashed into a tanker truck head-on. The truck driver swerved to avoid the crash but was unable to do so. BAKERSFIELD, CA – Four people were injured on Wednesday evening following a collision on Highway 184, KGET reports.  The accident occurred a little after 4:30 p.m. For reasons that are not clear at this time, a pickup truck and a sedan collided. Two other vehicles then also became involved in the crash. Two adults and two children in the sedan sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Kern Medical. BAKERSFIELD, CA – A woman was killed in Bakersfield on Saturday morning after an accident on San Dimas Street, KGET reports.  The crash occurred shortly before noon on the 3600 block of San Dimas Street. The victim was driving south when she lost control and struck a curb. Her vehicle then flipped over. She sustained serious injuries and was rished to the hospital but later passed away. BAKERSFIELD, CA – A woman was killed in an East Bakersfield hit-and-run on Friday night, ABC 23 reports.  The victim was attempting to cross the street in the intersection of Niles Street and Fairfax Road when she was struck by a semi-truck attempting to turn on to Fairfax. The driver did not stop and continued south on Fairfax. The woman died at the scene. No further information is currently available. OILDALE, CA – Local authorities are investigating a head-on collision in Oildale that occurred on Thursday afternoon, Bakersfield Now reports.  Around 4 p.m. a white Acura and a red Toyota crashed head-on near the intersection of Merle Haggard Drive and Airport Drive. BAKERSFIELD, CA – A pedestrian was killed in southwest Bakersfield on Friday night after being struck by a vehicle on Taft Highway. According to Bakersfield Now, the woman was struck on the 2300 block of Taft Highway around 11 p.m. She sustained serious injuries and died at the scene.
