GILROY, CA – A woman was killed after she was hit by a train while walking at a crosswalk at the Leavesley Road and Monterey Highway intersection around 8:45 a.m. Tuesday. Despite conducting life-saving measures, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
