Narrative
KINGS COUNTY, CA – A motorcyclist was killed after he was struck head-on by an 18-year-old man driving a 1999 Toyota pickup truck on Highway 198 after 12:45 p.m. Saturday. It is not exactly clear what prompted the pickup truck driver – Juan Estrada – to leave the roadway. Upon striking the motorcyclist, whose name wasn’t released, he was ejected from his bike before suffering fatal injuries at the scene. Officials said the motorcyclist wore a helmet, but Estrda did not wear a seatbelt. Estrada was unharmed, while the passenger with him – 49-year-old Kathy Rodriguez – was hospitalized for serious injuries.
