LOS ANGELES, CA – A pedestrian was killed early Wednesday morning when they were hit by a vehicle while walking along I-5 in north Los Angeles. Police say the victim was struck at about 5 a.m. while walking on the northbound lanes of the freeway near Lyons Avenue in Santa Clarita. The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is unclear at this time why the victim was walking on the freeway. All northbound lanes were closed for over an hour while investigators worked the scene.
