Narrative
SAN DIEGO, CA – a collision between a pickup truck and a motorcyclist in the Lincoln Park neighborhood on Saturday left the motorcyclist with critical injuries. The incident occurred around 8:20 p.m. on 200 Euclid Ave, when a 31-year-old man was riding a black 2009 Harley Davidson in the southbound left lane. Police say a 70-year-old man was operating a black 2005 Dodge Ram pickup truck in the northbound left lane of 200 Euclid Ave at the same time. The man allegedly crossed over a divided highway and entered the designated left turn lane, where his vehicle struck the motorcyclist.
In anticipation of a collision, the motorcyclist dropped his Harley-Davidson and slid approximately 40 feet, before colliding with the right side rocker panels of the Dodge. The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
