Narrative

CONCORD, CA – A 30-year-old man lost his life after he drifted off Kirker Pass Road and crashed into a traffic sign Monday. 

This single-vehicle collision happened before 3:45 p.m. Concord Police declared the driver — Joshua Butler — dead at the scene. 

Police closed Kirker Pass for several hours to conduct their investigation and to aid crews with the scene clearance process.
