ELK GROVE, CA – A 27-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman were killed when the man attempted to pass a vehicle in front of him in a no-pass zone on Dillard Road and collided head-on with the woman’s vehicle Tuesday. The collision happened before 9:30 p.m. east of Highway 99. Officials said the man was not wearing his seatbelt and was possibly impaired. The force of the crash also left a 2-year-old toddler in critical condition. There were no other occupants or vehicles involved in this wreck.
