OAKLAND, CA – A person succumbed to fatal injuries in a multi-vehicle crash that led one car to catch fire on I-580 East around 11 a.m. Tuesday. A victim was extricated from the fiery vehicle and then taken to a hospital, where they later died. It is unclear if the person who passed away was the same occupant rescued from the fiery vehicle.
