Narrative

CATHEDRAL CITY, CA – One person is in critical condition, and a 19-year-old man lost his life when both were ejected from their vehicle after crashing into a utility pole Tuesday. Cathedral City Police indicated this collision happened before 6:30 p.m. on Varner Road near Palm Drive. The 19-year-old man who succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene was identified as Rodolfo Arellano of Cathedral City. The other occupant, who has not been identified, is recovering at Desert Regional Medical Center.
