Bakersfield accident leaves motorcyclist dead

BAKERSFIELD, CA – A motorcyclist was killed following an accident in southwest Bakersfield on Saturday night, KGET reports. 

The crash occurred around 9 p.m. near the intersection of Stockdale Highway and Coffee Road.

It appears that the victim, who has not yet been identified, ran a red light and struck another vehicle in the intersection. They died at the scene.

The other driver remained at the scene and is not suspected of wrongdoing.
