The two-vehicle accident occurred shortly after 11 a.m. near Laird Regional Park at the intersection of West Grayson Road and Shiloh Road. This is just southwest of Modesto.

Police say that a northbound Kia sedan collided with an eastbound 18-wheeler, killing the 19-year-old driver of the Kia. Authorities have not yet released her name to the public.

It’s unclear if the driver of the semi sustained injuries in the crash.

Drivers likely encountered delays and closures in the area of the crash while emergency teams worked at the scene.
