8-year-old killed in San Jose crosswalk

SAN JOSE, CA – An 8-year-old boy was killed after being struck by a vehicle in a San Jose crosswalk, ABC 7 News reports. 

The accident occurred on the morning of September 16th at the intersection of Driftwood Drive and Castlemont Avenue. The victim was walking to school with his babysitter when they were both struck by a black 2022 Mercedes.

The boy was killed in the crash. The driver remained at the scene and cooporated with the police investigation.
