Narrative
GILROY, CA – Two adults and one child were sent to a hospital, and a driver of a 2010 Chrysler lost their life following a head-on crash that led to a fiery rollover wreck Friday, Dec. 22.
This collision happened around 1:30 a.m. on Highway 152. California Highway Patrol told Gilroy Dispatch that the driver of a 2010 Chrysler drove east on Highway 152 and crossed over a double yellow line, colliding head-on with a 2018 Audi.
As a result, the Cyrsler caught on fire and overturned before claiming the life of its driver (whose name) has not been released.
The Audi occupants were the passengers who were hospitalized at Valley Medical Center for their injuries. The child, a 1-year-old boy, sustained minor wounds, while the adults had to get treated for “minor to moderate” lacerations.
At this time, it is unknown if impairment, speed, tiredness, or distracted driving played roles in this collision.
