Narrative
TWENTYNINE PALMS, CA – A 55-year-old man succumbed to fatal injuries after he was struck by the driver of a vehicle, who then fled the scene while walking along a road Friday.
This collision happened before 8:45 p.m. in the 75000 block of Amboy Road, on a road with no streetlights or crosswalks. First responders conducted life-saving measures on the male pedestrian — identified as Christopher Plummer — who passed away at the scene.
