Hit-and-run leaves cyclist injured near Lake Cuchama

SANTA BARBRA, CA – A cyclist suffered major injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Highway 154 on Saturday evening, KSBY reports.  The collision occurred on Highway 154 near Lake Cuchama around 7:30 p.m. The vehicle was travelling west when it crashed into the bicycle. The victim, a 37-year-old man, sustained major injures and was taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. The suspect, who is believed to have been driving a maroon or burgundy Toyota Scion, fled the scene. Police are continuing to investigate.
